I really should have taken photos of my most recent trip but I was so pissed at the food that I think I just wanted to forget it.
First of all on Virgin Air you have to pay for EVERYTHING. I was forced to watch a marathon of The City because all movies were $8 (less than $7 Thursdays at Cobble Hill Cinemas) and most On Demand TV was $5. Kidding me??
Then the food selection - it looked decent as far as airplane food goes. So I ordered the “fresh” tapas platter. It came with packaged cracked wheat crackers which were good. Then dried out (but cold) baby carrots, zucchini, broccoli. Also some cherry tomatoes. The description said “figs and grapes.” Of which I got two. OH. And plastic cheese. I kid you not. It was like those Japanese erasers that look like real food but smell like perfume candy.
The only decent thing we ate was on the way back, the brie and turkey sandwich. And we were drunk.
My next trip is in October - I’m planning to take JetBlue from Terminal 5 so that should be decent.
